November 1996

The November Project in 1996 was complicated by and benefitted from my entering graduate school at Michigan State University earlier that Fall and having to drive 45 minutes to East Lansing and back everyday of the work week. So while working part-time as a carpenter I was also studying art history and doing a graduate assistantship at the Kresge Art Museum.

Again one will notice that the month is divided around the 15th by a trip to Grayling, MI. Other curious details are that the photographs were taken using a 35 mm camera partly with color film and partly with black and white film. Surprisingly one may also notice that some of the same subjects from previous years such as the front yard sidewalk, landscaping bushes and rocks make reappearances. There are also a few interesting studies of campus buildings under construction or from reoccurring vantage points.
